Project Break Down
Challenge: Cardoe Martin were engaged to investigate a series of water leaks affecting apartments within a converted warehouse building. As a Grade II Listed building, the roof had not been modernised when converted and many original features remained.
Solution: Following our initial assessment, we established that a cherry picker was needed to inspect the roof finish. Employing a trusted supplier for the access equipment, a full inspection confirmed that many of the aged roofing elements had failed and widespread issues existed meaning the most economical approach was to renew the roof finish. We were able to advise the client on the implications of this work under its listed status to ensure that the heritage status of the building was protected appropriately.
